Megan Arné is a painter and printmaker from Gorham, Maine. She received a BFA from Brigham Young University in 2018 and an MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2023. As a mother of three young children, she records her daily experiences as a caregiver and translates them into symbolic shapes, colors and charts. These visual elements come together to explore motherhood, domestic labor and women’s health in geometric abstract pattern-based paintings. Megan's work was recently featured in Exponent II magazine (March, 2024), and in The Boston Globe’s “Six art-school stars to watch” (May, 2023). Her most recent exhibitions include group shows at Morgan Lehman Gallery in New York, Sidle House Gallery in Freeport, Maine and at the Affordable Art Fair Boston.
